The Catholic Leadership Foundation is united in deep sadness and stands with the Jewish community following the horrific terrorist attack at Bondi Beach. The deliberate targeting of a Hanukkah celebration is a despicable act of hatred and a profound assault on human dignity and religious freedom.

We must wholeheartedly reject this violence and the resurgence of antisemitism that we know from history to be an evil that must be overcome in every age, and in every place.

We pray for the victims, their families, and all affected by this darkness. May our leadership bring forth a greater light of justice and peace.

Speak Out: Publicly and forcefully condemn all expressions of antisemitism wherever we see them, including those disguised as political or social commentary.

Build Real Bonds: Actively build bridges of understanding and cooperation with the Jewish community, moving from passive sympathy to meaningful, active support.

Teach Respect: Use positions of influence to teach the history and dangers of prejudice, promoting mutual respect as a cornerstone of a healthy, pluralistic democracy.

What we do

Forming lay leaders

‘Into the Deep’ Program is an extended leadership formation program designed to deepen and strengthen participants’ relationship with Jesus and so to be renewed as missionary disciples.

Living the Scriptures

‘With Burning Hearts’ develops and promotes initiatives to assist Catholics in reading and praying the Scriptures as an encounter with Jesus.

Networking leaders

‘So I Send You’ uses social media, a public website and a professional networking platform for the ongoing communication, information and formation of lay Catholic leaders.

Working in Partnership

‘With Others For Others’ involves partnering with dioceses and religious institutes to promote and enable other formation programs and initiatives for Catholics, especially lay leaders.
